RAH questions & answers

A little clarity before you explore.

RAH is in its initial construction phase. Some functions are still under construction, and additional features are planned. These answers explain what you can do today.

Frequently asked questions

How do I join the RAH Community?

Join the RAH Community means creating your free RAH account with a login. Once your account is set up and your email is verified, use My RAH to choose whether to receive community email updates. Emails are optional, and creating an account does not subscribe you.

Which type of account should I choose?

Choose Individual / Member to join as yourself, or Business / Organizer to represent a business or organization. Both account types are free, require email verification and let you choose optional community emails in My RAH. Account type does not grant administrative access.

How do Favorites work?

Choose Save to Favorites on resources, events, articles, guides and projects. Your saved lists are private and available from My RAH. Sign in with a verified account to save or remove items.

Can I update my profile?

My RAH lets you update your ZIP code and optional private phone number, change your username once every 30 days, and request verification of a new email address. Changing your email does not transfer account permissions to another account.

What are Partner and Sponsor levels?

Both Individual / Member and Business / Organizer accounts start free. Future Partner listing enhancements and Sponsor placements require RAH approval. Payment will not change ordinary directory ranking or grant administrative permissions. Advertising will be clearly labeled and no pop-ups are planned.

What does Search cover?

Search RAH covers public pages, published articles, local resources, community groups, events and rural awareness records. Choose a section to narrow your results. Private profiles, submissions and administration are not included.

Do I need an account to explore the site?

No. You can browse public pages and send feedback without logging in. Joining the RAH Community, receiving community emails, and recommending a local resource require a RAH account.

Can I register for an account yet?

Public account registration is currently closed while we test the site with designated accounts. Existing authorized testers can use My RAH to log in. Community email signup also requires an account.

Why are some functions unavailable?

The site is being built in stages. Some functions are still under construction, and future features will be added as they are ready. You can follow the build through Follow the Homestead and community email updates. Use Give Feedback to tell us what would be useful.

What if my confirmation or password-reset email does not arrive?

Check your Junk or Spam folder. If you find a RAH message there, mark it as Not Junk. Use the newest link you requested; a used or expired link may no longer work. For account verification or password resets, return to My RAH to request a new link. If you still need help, contact RAH.

How do I stop receiving community email updates?

In My RAH, choose Subscribe to emails to opt in, or Unsubscribe to opt out. Subscribing requires confirming the email we send to your verified account address. You can also use the unsubscribe link in a community email. Unsubscribing does not delete your account or stop essential account emails such as password resets.

How can I recommend a local resource or suggest a correction?

Visit Local Resources and use its recommendation or update links. Sign-in keeps those contributions accountable. Recommendations go to private RAH review before any approved listing content is published; your account identity stays private to RAH administrators.

Is my feedback public?

No. Site feedback goes to private RAH review and is anonymous by default. You can choose to attach your verified account or request a reply. For details about information we retain, read the Privacy Policy.
